Manually installing CCA Mauritius Root Certificate for Trust Chain Validation
Currently, the public key certificate of the CCA of Mauritius is not embedded in the different web browsers for the automatic validation of the trust chain. In order to avoid subscribers in getting a trust chain validation error at the first time of use of their private key certificate, the following step-by-step manual has been designed for various web browsers.
Internet Explorer/Chrome/Safari
1. Go to www.cca.mu and click on "Root Certificate"
2. Click on the link to download the Root Certificate of CCA Mauritius.
3. Click on "Open" when the download prompt appears.
4. The certificate window appear. Click on "Install Certificate"
5. The Certificate Import Wizard appears, Click "Next"
6. Select "Place all certificates in the following store" and Click on "Browse"
7. Select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" and Click "OK"
8. The selected store will appear, Click "Next"
9. A summary will be displayed, Click "OK"
10. Details for the Root Certificate of CCA Mauritius will appear, Click "Yes"
11. Click "OK" to close
12. Restart your web browser application.
Mozilla Firefox
3. On the download prompt, select "Save File" and click OK
4. Go to "Tools" > "Options"
5. Go to the "Advanced" section and Click on "Certificates" tab and Click "View Certificates"
6. The Certificate Manager windows opens. Go the the "Authorities" tab and Click on "Import"
7. Browse for the Root Certificate of CCA Mauritius "CCA.cer" and Click "Open"
8. Select the 3 options "Trust this CA..." and Click "OK"
9. The Root Certificate of CCA Mauritius is now imported. Click on "OK"
10. Click on "OK" to close this window.
11. Restart your web browser application.
